Our history in Poland
HSBC first began operating in Poland in 1990 as an investment services company, HSBC Investment Services (Poland) Sp. z o.o.
In 2003, HSBC bought Polski Kredyt Bank, which officially changed its name to HSBC Bank Polska S.A.in 2004 (now HSBC Continental Europe (Spółka Akcyjna) Oddział w Polsce).
In 2007, HSBC set up a back office which has developed over time into a Global Service Centre which now employs nearly 6,000 people.
